Is an Indian Hindi-language drama film, written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. It is jointly produced by Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar, Nikhil Namit and Salman Khan under the banner of Reel Life Productions, Salman Khan Films and T-Series. 

The film stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sunil Grover, Disha Patani and Jackie Shroff. Tabu creates a friendly look. 

It traces the history of post-independence India from the point of view of a common man, and follows his life from 8 to 70 years of age. Based on the 2014 South Korean film Odd to My Father, principal photography for Bharat began in April 2018. 

In places like Abu Dhabi, Spain, Malta, Punjab and Delhi. Kaif started working in the film soon after dropping out of the role of Priyanka Chopra, starring in an engagement with Nick Ness. 

Filmed in March 2019. The film's score was composed by Julius Pacium and the lyrics were composed by Vishal-Shekhar, lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil, and released under the banner of the T-series. 

Bharat was released in India on 5 June 2019 on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. It received mixed reviews from critics.

 The film earned ₹ 42.30 crore on the first day, which was Khan's biggest opening day release. [5] [6] [₹] [₹] It emerged as a commercial success with a gross success of ₹ 325.58 crore (US $ 46 million) worldwide.

In Delhi, in 2010, Bharata, a shopkeeper, refused to part with his store despite an attractive offer. On the occasion of her 70th birthday, she tells her granddaughter the story of her life in the attic, which she visits every birthday.

 During the Partition of India in 1947, Gautam Kumar, his wife Janaki, daughters Mahek and Gudiya, and sons Bharat and Chote, came to India on a train in India to protect themselves from the terrible riots in present-day Pakistan with many refugees. . A 7-year-old Bharata child picks up Godia.

 Gautam stays behind to search for Gudiya and tells Bharata to take Janaki, Mehek and Chote to his sister's imported goods store. Gautama pledged to Bharata that the latter would always keep the family together. 


As a child, Bharata does all kinds of odd work to support his family. In 1964, as a pre-teen, he joins The Great Russian Circus with his best friend Vilayati Khan, after meeting Radha, who works in a roadside circus and falls in love with him. Falls, and spends many years there, and attains fame.

 He decides to leave the circus, when Chote injures himself in an accident and tries to emulate him and bids a tearful goodbye with Radha. Later Nehru dies and the country is destroyed. Bharata and Vilayati look for different jobs.


 In the mid-1970s, Bharata and Wilayati joined Mecca's inspired oil migration to Saudi Arabia to earn enough money for Mekh's wedding. Here, he falls in love with his chief engineer, Kumud Raina and survives a mining accident. 

Kumud confesses his love to her, but he tells Kumud that she cannot marry him, as he fears that such a commitment will come to fulfill Gautama's promise.

 Back home in India, Kumud arrives during Mehek's wedding to declare his love for Bharata, and begins a relationship with Janaki's approval to become a stationmaster. Bharata's aunt, Jamuna, died in 1983 and was accepted for the job of stationmaster. 


During the final of the 1983 Cricket World Cup, his uncle Kemat Rai Kapoor, who needed the money, plans to sell the store, a decision India disagrees with.

 He rejects his railway job and leaves India again with Vilayati as a sailor for a period of 8 months, and earns enough money to buy the store during which time Vilayati also meets an alien Susan.
