(Translation. I fell in love) is a 1989 Hindi-language musical romance film directed by Soraj Barjatya, making his directorial debut and co-writing his first lead role in the film starring Salman Khan and Bhagyashree. 

. It also stars Alok Nath, Mohnish Behl, Reema Lagoo, Rajeev Verma, Ajit Vachani and Laxmikant Beard.

 The story revolves around Prem and Suman. Suman is the daughter of Karan, a poor mechanic who leaves her with his rich friend Kishan before going abroad.

 Suman befriends Kishan's son Prem and they fall in love. The film released on 29 December 1989. Produced by Rajshri Productions on a budget of ₹ 20 million, Main Pyar Kiya emerged as a major critical and commercial success, grossing ₹ 308.1 million at the worldwide box office, becoming the highest. The highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year and the highest-grossing Indian film of the 1980s.

 It was declared an all-time blockbuster by Box Office India leading to fame. The film received positive reviews from critics at the time of its release, with Barjatya's direction, story and performances earning critical acclaim. 

It is still counted among the top 10 most successful Bollywood films. [Citation needed] Maine Pyar Kiya received 12 major nominations at the 35th Filmfare Awards ceremony, including Best Director for Barjatya, Best Actress for Bhagyashree, Khan for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress.

STORY :--




Karan (Alok Nath) is a poor mechanic who lives in the countryside with his only daughter, Sundar Suman (Bhagyashree).

 He decides to venture outside and try his luck in business and travel to Dubai to accumulate enough money to get his daughter married. Thus, he decides to leave his daughter with his family friend Kishan (Rajeev Verma). 

Kishan, a wealthy businessman, lets Suman stay at his house while his father is away because he cannot turn down his old friend's request.

 Suman befriends Kishan's son Prem (Salman Khan), who convinces him that a boy and girl can be Platonic friends. Prem takes Suman to a party organized by Seema (Parveen Dastur), the only daughter of Kishan's business partner, Ranjit (Ajit Vachani).


 Ranjith's nephew Jeevan (Mohnish Bahl) is arrogant and arrogant and insults Suman and Prem (falsely claiming to be "just friends"). This is the turning point in the story.

 Suman left the party in tears and distanced herself from Prem. At that point, both Prem and Suman learn that they have fallen in love with each other.

 Prem's mother Kaushalya (Reema implements) deeply investigates Prem and Suman's relationship and accepts Suman as her daughter-in-law, but Kishan is unhappy with the relationship and asks her to leave her home. He feels that he has taken advantage of his hospitality.

 Karan returns from abroad and gets angry at Kishan's behavior and Kishan accuses him of conspiring to establish Prem and Suman. Karan and Kishan quarrel, and eventually Karan and Suman return to their village, deeply humiliated.

 Prem refuses to accept the separation, goes to Suman's village and asks permission to marry her. Angered by Kishan's accusations, Karan says that he will allow marriage on one condition: Prem must prove that he can support his wife with her own efforts and stay apart.

 Prem starts working in a nearby mine as a truck driver and laborer. At the end of the month, Prem has earned the necessary funds. On the way to Karan's house, he is ambushed by Jeevan and a group of ruffians who try to kill him.

 He survives, but his wages are wasted in the fight. Karan harshly rejects Prem's attempt and Prem is about to attack the ruffians

KAHANI :-

करण (आलोक नाथ) एक गरीब मैकेनिक है जो अपनी एक और इकलौती बेटी, सुंदर सुमन (भाग्यश्री) के साथ देहात में रहता है।
