The film is
based on two Pathan tribal families who have been struggling for many
generations.
Salman (Salman Khan), son of Sher Khan (Danny Denzongpa), Rukhsar (Chandni), falls in love with Fateh Khan's (Pran) daughter. The film is popularly known as Salman's Black Stallion, titled Sultan and the famous song "O Hare Dupatwali", which was released in January 1991.
Upon discovering the truth, Fateh Khan finds too much to control his anger. On the other hand, Sher Khan is overjoyed to learn that his son is in love with his enemy's daughter and promises Salman that he will marry her to Rukhsar. Marriage is decided after a lot of difficulties.
On the day of the wedding ceremony, Fateh Khan holds an incredible demand in Haq-Meher (Daj), Sher Khan is dumb and surprised, but gives in to his son's happiness. Hurt by humiliation, Sher Khan drove Rukhsar out of the house the next morning after the wedding and paid Hek-Meher (Daj).
Upon seeing Rukhsar back, his family is shocked at the shock. This leads to conflict between the two families, resulting in bloodshed and loss of life on both sides, but Sher Khan and Fateh Khan remain adamant until they find out that Rukhsar is pregnant with Salman's son. The newborns finally make peace between the two families.
